- a 24-mile path from Dennis to Wellfleet, traveling the entire length
of Eastham. A level, state maintained trail on an old railroad bed,
the trail follows the old Penn Central Railway tracks, traversing
pine and oaks, and occasionally skirting a pond or marsh. You'll ride
through woodlands, past sparkling lakes, mysterious kettle ponds and
expansive salt marshes. Today the tracks are gone and the trail is
easily accessible to Eastham. Just off the path, side trips offer
ocean beaches, fishing piers, country stores, quaint villages, parks,
